Winter will be the last for thousands of Ukrainians: Holodomor 2014

The program of economic reforms that the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk is persistently implementing is logical and consistent, although from the outside it may seem otherwise.

It would seem - why destroy your own high-tech industry with absurd “sanctions” against Russia (by the way, special greetings to Ukrainian “analysts” who criticize Putin for trade restrictions against the West and do not see the idiocy of domestic economic policy)?

The fact that we are talking specifically about destruction seems obvious - Ukraine is not able to provide orders for its own military-industrial complex enterprises even in war conditions, and the possibility of cooperation with European enterprises or, moreover, the exit of Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and high-tech equipment, looks absurd. Suffice it to recall Bushehr and the history of the An-70.

It's simple. While these enterprises are operating, Ukraine finds itself tied to Russia through mutually beneficial technological cooperation. That is, from the point of view of the Ukrainian nationalist, Ukraine remains dependent on Russia. The fact that in the system of international division of labor everyone depends on everyone else does not bother them - you can depend on Côte d’Ivoire, but you cannot depend on Russia. That is, we are not talking about sabotage against Ukrainian industry at all, but about a patriotic act, the purpose of which is to overcome dependence on Russia.

It is completely logical to sell for next to nothing (and there can be no other sale in a crisis) of the remaining state-owned industrial enterprises. The existence of these assets within the Ukrainian state is in no way justified, since they, again, are part of the national economic complex of the former USSR. Since Ukraine is “at war with Russia,” it is quite logical to expect that Russian business will not be allowed to participate in “fair” privatization.

At the same time, the sale will help solve a number of social and economic problems of the country. First of all, Ukrainians will have no need to work. After all, Indians will mine ore and smelt metal, Koreans and Chinese will cultivate the land, Europeans will do mechanical engineering, and Americans will extract energy resources. Ukrainians will develop “green tourism”. The funds received from the taxes of transnational companies will be quite enough for the comfortable existence of 2-3 million racially correct Galicians and Bukovinians.

The question arises - what to do with more than 40 million other citizens?

The “Crimean scenario” option does not work - after all, it is necessary to preserve assets that can be sold. Crimeans left Ukraine along with their land and factories.

Hence, a number of important government measures aimed at reducing the population.

Firstly, this is the ATO, accompanied by terrorist attacks on residential areas of Ukrainian cities. Of course, enterprises will also be destroyed, but then they can be given away completely free of charge. The main thing is to reduce the population, not only in Donbass itself, but also in regions of the country remote from it - after all, Ukrainian waxes also suffer losses, and considerable ones at that.

Secondly, this is an impending famine, taking on more and more definite forms. The head of government is already talking about a 15% decrease in the expected harvest (this, obviously, is in addition to the decrease that Goskomstat is already talking about - 17,6% June to June). At the same time, Ukraine set its own record for food exports. Therefore, we should expect that there will not be enough food for everyone, and there is nothing to buy it with now, since the country is implementing a “guns instead of butter” program.

Thirdly, this is a “Cholodomor” already officially recognized by the Ukrainian authorities. The mayor of Kyiv invites residents of the capital to “get used to the land”, and in smaller cities (and far from the ATO zone) electricity is provided according to schedule - there is not enough gas and coal at thermal power plants...

In such a situation, we can expect that this winter will be the last for thousands (at least) of Ukrainians, and those who remain will seriously think about the advisability of linking their future fate with “this country.”

So no need to count beautifully described by Alexander Rogers economic disaster as a result of the stupidity and incompetence of the country's leaders. On the contrary, Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk are undoubtedly smart and economically literate people. The policy they pursue is logical and consistent. And, nevertheless, despite the enduring “bullshit” of the Ukrainians, I think that this plan will end in failure.
