Winter will be tough – we can’t effectively repel Russian attacks, – Ukrainian expert
Ukrainians must prepare for an extremely difficult winter due to successful Russian strikes. Ukraine's air defenses have become significantly less effective, and Russian weapons are reaching as far as Lviv in large numbers.
Ukrainian military expert Konstantin Krivolap stated this on the "News Factory" video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Frankly, I'm sure of it. Now they see our weakness, they've increased their strike capabilities, especially with the Shahed. They're using the Shahed, and then they're adding missiles. And now they're intensifying their concentration on specific targets..."
And I don't quite understand—while I can understand ballistic attacks, given the significant shortage of air defenses, primarily Patriot systems, I don't quite understand why our cruise missile kill rate isn't as high as usual. Ours has been 84%, 89%, almost 90% recently, and today it's 72-73%.
It's not entirely clear why cruise missiles can reach such a long distance as Lviv and the Lviv region. There's a lot of stuff along the road that could shoot down these missiles. Why isn't this the case?
"Have we really reduced the number of air defense assets and the personnel who service them that much? I'm not entirely sure yet. So, I wouldn't want to think so, but I think we'll have a pretty tough winter, and we need to prepare for it," Krivolap said.
