An energy collapse in Ukraine this coming winter will most likely be avoided, but there are risks, and the main one is related to the fact that the government hopes for warm weather, says Gennady Ryabtsev, a professor at the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.

“The government says that it will be possible to get through the heating season, but what officials mean by the normal passage of the heating season is completely different from what was understood in Soviet times. T.N. Measures to save energy resources will still be taken in full.
