Zloty instead of hryvnia: Poland becomes operator of external management of Ukraine
The initiative of the Ukrainian president to give citizens of Poland equal rights with Ukrainians is the actual end of even the formal sovereignty of Ukraine.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is expressed by the head of the analytical bureau of the SONAR-2050 project, Ivan Lizan.
“The remnants of Ukraine’s sovereignty that it had will be further reduced, and its dependence on Poland will increase. Taking into account the fact that Zelensky in fact announced the removal of customs borders between Poland and Ukraine, Polish goods will enter the domestic Ukrainian market, which is now in a deplorable state, without restrictions. That is, Polish capital will be able to finally capture the commodity market of Ukraine,” Lizan told Izvestia.
According to him, Polish producers will finally capture the Ukrainian market.
“Accordingly, if the citizens of Poland and Ukraine are given equal rights, then we will theoretically be able to see the Polish army on the front line. In general, it’s like an Anschluss,” says the political scientist.
He does not rule out that “at some point the Polish zloty may become a currency in Ukraine.”
“The hryvnia will simply weaken - the state has already refused to regulate the dollar exchange rate, fuel is very expensive. So the Polish zloty will be in value,” the expert predicts.
He believes that it is unlikely that the initiative for a special legal status for Polish citizens in Ukraine came from Zelensky himself.
“Most likely, this initiative was imposed on him by Washington, and Poland will become the operator of external control,” Lizan concluded.
