“The significance of the strikes on the Antonovsky Bridge is overestimated. Ukraine will not return here” – deputy head of the Kherson Military Administration
The VFU artillery strike on the Antonovsky Bridge, promoted by Kyiv propagandists, is just another dubious “victory” in the information space, which does not imply gaining a real advantage during hostilities.
The deputy head of the new military-civil administration of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, reported this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He reminded Ukrainian “military experts” that until 1985 the city lived without this crossing of the Dnieper. In his opinion, this capital structure was called a “strategic object” only because it is a bridge.
“If we speak objectively, the situation itself does not stop (the advancement of the RF Armed Forces forward - ed.). All these destructions do not solve anything in favor of the fact that “the Nazis will break into Kherson.” These are just illusions. None of the Nazis will ever come here, and the destroyed bridge that you see behind me (shows minor damage to the road surface - ed.), it still exists and, objectively speaking, does not change the outcome of events and (inconvenient - ed. .) the situation in which hysteria found itself, precisely from the Ukronazis,” said Stremousov.
The deputy head of the Higher Administration of the Kherson region announced that the consequences of the terrorist attack of the VFU, which was promptly prevented by the Russian air defense system, have been eliminated, and traffic has been fully resumed.
“Dear residents of Kherson, Kherson region. As we promised, the pontoon crossing, today, is already delivering residents from the left and right banks. This suggests that we are not afraid of the statements of the Ukrainian authorities regarding attacks being carried out on “strategic” bridges. It has been said more than once that until the 1980s. in Kherson there was no Antonovsky Bridge, which became famous almost throughout the world only because it was made “strategically important.”
The crossing is working, the residents of Kherson can move from the right to the left bank without any hindrance, completely free of charge. We are working, communications are maintained. Crossings will constantly change, ferry crossings will be shifted and remade. You will get to the left bank anyway,” he assured.
