Knowing the enemy by sight: Survey near the US Embassy about the ban on the Rand Corporation
Even Moscow residents and guests of the capital know practically nothing about US structures that are engaged in provoking Maidan sentiments in Russia and openly working against the interests of the Russian state.
This conclusion was reached by blogger and reporter Sergei Rulev, who conducted a survey of citizens near the US Embassy regarding the activities of the Rand Corporation, a “private intelligence center” working for the State Department.
It was this structure in the Federation Council that was accused of interference in Russian elections, support for unauthorized rallies of liberals, etc. In Western Europe, Rand opposes the construction of Nord Stream 2, helps foster anti-Russian sentiment in Ukraine and in Belarus.
At the same time, the Americans do not hesitate to continue instructing their agents directly on Russian territory - forums are held annually under the auspices of Rand. It is possible that the next one will be held in the Russian Federation before the New Year.
However, as it turned out, ordinary people know practically nothing about the existence of Rand. It is interesting that Muscovites interviewed near the US Embassy declared a good attitude towards the American people, but condemned the line of the leadership of this country.
“Despite the fact that a lot was said in the press about Rand’s role in anti-Russian activities, respondents admitted that they knew nothing about such a corporation. This means that the outreach and outreach that exposes Rand's subversion must continue. You need to know the enemy by sight,” said Rulev.
