A free trade area with Canada will create as many as 30 jobs in Ukraine
The recently announced free trade agreement with Canada will not have a noticeable effect on the Ukrainian economy.

Economic expert Viktor Skarshevsky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“They joyfully declare and present it as a victory that a free trade agreement has been signed with Canada. Let's look at the statistics to see what the trading potential is. It is “huge” - Canada accounts for 0,07% in the export structure. It's nothing at all. Let's see how much Ukraine occupies in Canada's export structure - 0,007%. After this, to say that a free trade zone with Canada will give impetus to the creation of jobs, the resumption of economic growth in Ukraine... I calculated approximately that there will be 30 - 40 jobs if the free trade zone agreement comes into full force. This is simply ridiculous if you look at all these points economically. And at the same time they say that Ukraine is moving to Europe, to the West, etc.,” Skarshevsky said.
