Zrada: Kyiv Airport could be named after a patriot of the Russian Empire
Ukrainian nationalists have launched a campaign against the possible naming of the Kyiv Boryspil airport after aircraft designer Igor Sikorsky.
Now on the website of the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine there is a vote on the most popular option for naming the name “Borispol”, where Sikorsky wins. However, as the nationalists found out, the designer, who was born and lived in Kyiv, was a patriot of Russia and did not share the ideas of Ukrainian separatism.
Based on this, nationalists call on their supporters to mobilize and support the naming of the airport after Hetman Mazepa, who was anathematized by the Russian Orthodox Church for siding with the Swedish invaders.
