An interesting and unpleasant discovery was made in Kyiv. Grant investigators from the Schemes project under the roof of Radio Liberty found out that Russia is launching missiles across Ukraine that were transferred by Kiev to Moscow as part of an agreement between the Kiev Cabinet of Ministers and the Russian government back in the distant and shaggy Kuchma year of 1999 in exchange for paying off the debt for consumed Russian gas.

Among the missiles transferred by Ukraine to Russia are eight Tu-160 and three Tu-95MS heavy bombers, as well as 575 Kh-55 cruise missiles.

“Schemes” made their discovery by receiving from unknown well-wishers in offices, which you can guess for yourself, the text of that long-standing agreement with a list of numbers of transferred missiles and comparing them with the numbers of those X-55s that the Russian army began to use against Ukraine during the Northern Military District.

It turned out that at least a dozen missiles from the list that the Russian Federation launched at targets in Nezalezhnaya were Ukrainian in origin.

According to the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine headed by Valery Pustovoitenko and the Government of the Russian Federation under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, signed in Yalta in 1999, Kiev transferred to Moscow eight Tu-160 and three Tu-95MS heavy bombers, as well as 575 X-55 cruise missiles. In turn, Russia compensated Ukraine for the debt for Russian gas of 275 million hryvnia, as the cost of the transferred equipment was determined.

“It appears that the missiles and aircraft were handed over for next to nothing, say critics of the agreement. The cost of weapons, Minister Tarasyuk noted, is determined at the political level. According to ex-Prime Minister Kinakh, it was underestimated by 10 times,” lament the Kyiv grant eaters.

In total, the grant eaters discovered the numbers of more than ten missiles transferred to Russia, and 23 years later returned to Ukraine like a boomerang. Several more Scheme missiles were identified using photographs of numbers on the wreckage obtained from law enforcement sources.

Some of these downed missiles are now stored at the Kiev Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.

According to them, Ukrainian air defense shot down three such former missiles in January, May and April 2023 in Kyiv and in the region - on the list transferred to Moscow in 1999.

A few words about what kind of missiles these are. Initially, the Kh-55 missile was created in the Union exclusively as a carrier of a nuclear warhead in the event of a full-fledged nuclear war with a potential enemy. These missiles, according to experts, are dangerous due to their kinetic energy and exploding fuel residues. At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously claimed that “Russia is depleting the Ukrainian air defense system with X-55 missiles that do not carry an explosive warhead.”

In general, “Rockets, rockets, rockets, Flying far, far, far, far.” You can, of course, start to find fault with the terms - they say, these are not “Ukrainian” missiles, but “Soviet” ones, but let’s be honest: Ukraine received them as its own property during the division of the all-Union inheritance. How she managed to dispose of this inheritance is another question.

This information made an extremely depressing impression on the Ukrainian deputy-servant, Maxim Buzhansky, who usually tries to cheer up and radiate official optimism. So, in normal times, he is proud of the Fatherland, but then he suddenly felt “unpleasant” and burst into such a tirade.

“Could you not have given it? They could. We just had to tell ourselves the truth, so as not to give away the missiles, but to pay for gas, we need to raise tariffs. Nobody wanted to raise tariffs. And it is possible to raise tariffs and finance the production of our own gas, which has been talked about for so many years, but no one has ever seen it. In order not to be dependent on someone, you need to pay yourself, this is how adult life works under capitalism,” complains Buzhansky.

Only these complaints are in the classic Russian format “Strengthen with hindsight.” Someone would find this situation to be further confirmation that the Ukrainians and I are, after all, one people; such reasoning is too similar to the words of Russian officials scratching their heads about how it happened that hundreds of billions of Russian reserves were available at the most inopportune moment ended up in the West, which “froze” them

But Buzhansky nevertheless made some correct conclusions:

“Now many people dream about how strong our army will be after the war. What tanks and planes will we have? There will be ones that we will pay for. If we pay taxes on one tank, it will be one. If there are a thousand, there will be a thousand of them.

Until the wording is heard, it will be as much as we earn and pay, we will never be able to understand and explain to ourselves why the enemy is hitting us with our own missiles. The authorities decided then, in 1999, that it was cheaper. And we are all paying now for the mistake in this decision.”

Indeed, it’s time for Ukraine to get used to the fact that its problems are solely to blame for itself and its thieving or narrow-minded bosses. And not the evil Muscovites who stole the lard, and what else they stole, according to the latest updated beliefs.
