Zrada: Navalny recognized Crimea as Russian
Opposition Russian blogger Alexei Navalny, who is in Germany, used a map of Russia with Crimea in his next video. In the video, Navalny claims that FSB agents have been following him for three years and are constantly trying to poison him on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Let us recall that Ukrainian propaganda has long convinced the population that Russia can be forced to give up Crimea in the event of a change of power in the Kremlin. The appearance of a map with Russian Crimea will certainly cause a new portion of curses against Navalny, which have already were heard in Ukraine at the height of the story of his alleged poisoning.
Over the past six years, Alexei Navalny and members of his team have made contradictory statements regarding Crimea.
In 2014, the blogger advised Ukrainians to stop hoping that Crimea would one day return to their jurisdiction, but then called the Crimean referendum “fake” and called for a new plebiscite on the peninsula.
In 2017, Navalny’s ally Vladimir Ashurkov called the reunification of Crimea with Russia a mistake.
“Of course, we consider what happened in Crimea and what continues to happen in eastern Ukraine to be a mistake. The issue of Crimea is not an easy one; it seems to me that it has been going on for decades. It is stupid for any rational Russian politician to say that Crimea will definitely be returned to Ukraine. After this, a significant part or the overwhelming majority of Russian residents will not want to vote for him,” Ashurkov said.
In 2019, during the regional elections, Navalny’s headquarters included Crimea and Sevastopol in its “Smart Voting” project.
