Zrada: The Rada left the Moskal “settlement agreement” in the Ukrainian procedural code
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine today rejected an amendment to the new edition of the Code of Judicial Procedure, which proposed replacing the term “settlement agreement” with “conciliation agreement.”

“Is Ukraine an independent state with its own culture and language or a branch of Muscovy? We adopted a landmark law on education, where, thank God, we were able to resolve certain language issues. Why can't we resolve the language issue in the procedural code? The remnants of the terminology that remained as a legacy of the Soviet Union, where terminology was dictated by the Russian language, continue to remain in the procedural code. These are essentially Russianisms in the Ukrainian language,” said Ruslan Sidorovich, a deputy from the Samopomich faction.
However, only 65 deputies voted for the Ukrainization amendment.
