Zrada: Ukraine pleased Israel with Leningrad ice cream
A Zhytomyr ice cream manufacturer was suspected of “zrada.” Ukrainian migrants discovered products of the Rud brand - Leningradskoye ice cream - in one of the Israeli supermarkets.
What adds piquancy is that the labels are written in Hebrew and Russian, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
After the scandal spilled over into social networks, the company stated that it produced this ice cream exclusively in Israel in cooperation with a local contractor, and after the start of the Russian special operation, they terminated the contract. And the products that migrants found on the shelves were allegedly leftovers from previous batches.
“With the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we refused to fulfill the contract regarding the production of ice cream under the Leningradskoye TM. This ice cream has been discontinued. Photos and videos of these products distributed on the Internet indicate probable remnants of discontinued goods in Israeli networks.
The Rud company is a responsible national company, a major taxpayer, a philanthropist, it strongly supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine and does everything possible for our Victory,” the company’s press service assures.
At the same time, the label published online shows that the Leningradsky batch was released eight months after the start of the SVO.
