Zrada: Poland does not believe that Russia attacked Ukraine
Russia does not pursue an aggressive policy in Ukraine.
The “hero of the anti-communist opposition” of Poland, the honorary speaker of the Polish Sejm and the father of the Polish Prime Minister Kornel Morawiecki, was stunned by this statement in an interview with the conservative-liberal Polish weekly Do Rzeczy, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a kind of civil war, a clash of two points of view. One of them is supported by Russia, and we support the other side. We don’t do this directly, but we send equipment to Ukraine,” Morawiecki said.
He also considers the question of who first started this civil war in Ukraine debatable.
“In Crimea, the Russians started first, but before that, Kiev overthrew the democratically elected President Yanukovych, who enjoyed enormous support in the east and south of the country, where pro-Russian sentiment is strong,” Morawiecki said.
At the same time, he is categorically against the assertion that, having conquered Ukraine, Russia will move towards Poland.
“Moscow is not interested in attacking Poland. For four years now, the Russians have been doing everything they can to avoid occupying Donetsk, let alone aggression against our state,” Morawiecki said.
