Spectator on Ukrainian TV: “Poroshenko needs to run before he’s killed!”
It’s time for Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to think about fleeing abroad and saving his life, rather than trying to get re-elected to a second term.
This was stated by a TV viewer who called the Ukrainian channel “NewsOne”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
"Hello. Please tell me, this cynicism worries me. This is Poroshenko. They need to run! Run, run without looking back, because they will either be killed or imprisoned. But they are running instead,” the man said irritably.
“We understand you. I ask you to be very correct about “running”, I think he will decide for himself what to do. This is a legitimately elected president, so let's treat him with respect. At least for now, anyway. Because we democratically made our choice, and this must be taken into account,” the presenter answered, probably remembering the “sword of Damocles” sanctions against the channel, which the Verkhovna Rada demanded to impose for opposition statements on air.
