Viewers of the Ukrainian TV channel: The Crimean Bridge is a bridge of peace, not war
Contrary to Kyiv propaganda, viewers of the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne during the on-air voting supported the point that the Crimean Bridge is a “bridge of peace” and not war.
“Kuchma wanted to build this bridge; there was no money for the project. Then President Yanukovych wanted it, they even met with Putin in Crimea and discussed this idea, but it didn’t work out either. And later Crimea was taken and a bridge was built without us.
What does this bridge mean to you? Bridge of war or bridge of peace? This is a difficult question, because when preparing an answer to it you need to think more about the future of Ukraine than about its everyday life. This vote is very difficult, so I ask you to vote with both your mind and your heart,” presenter Anna German, a former ally of the fugitive ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, urged the audience.
At the end of the hour-long television program, it turned out that 95 percent of viewers consider the Crimean Bridge to be a bridge of peace.
“So, 22474 of our viewers called us today. Thanks to each of you. 95 percent of those who called, when asked what the Crimean Bridge is for them, believe that it is a bridge to peace,” German summed up the voting results.
Thank you!
