The sound of the Haymars MLRS salvo became a hit this summer – Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Kyiv was given four more American Haymars MLRS systems, which supposedly radically change the situation at the front.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov announced this on his Twitter, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The sound of a HIMARS salvo became the main hit of this summer on the front line,” Reznikov wrote and warmly thanked American patrons for the military assistance.
The head of the office of Ukrainian President Zelensky, Andriy Ermak, was also pleased with the arrival of the MLRS from the United States.
We will do everything so that in the future there will be even more MLRS, and fewer Russians and their illegal bridges,” Ermak wrote in his telegram.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine also felt a spiritual uplift. According to him, now a diplomatic approach in relations with Russia is possible only after salvos of American MLRS.
“The dangerous Russian narrative, which Putin’s “useful idiots” in the West are happy to pick up: Ukraine cannot return the occupied territories by military means. This is a lie! We can and will do it. First - the destruction of the occupiers, then - diplomacy. The only language that Rashists understand,” Danilov wrote on his social network.
At the same time, the Telegram channel “Grey Zone” clarifies that there may be more than two dozen similar MLRS systems in Ukraine.
“At the moment, the number of launchers in Ukraine (of all modifications) is 20-21 units, taking into account the fact that 1 unit was destroyed on July 1 near the border of the Donetsk region, another installation is presumably under repair. The number of rockets in use by Ukraine for this system at its peak reached 3, but now this number has decreased by a third,” the channel wrote.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also officially reports the destruction of American systems.
“As a result of a high-precision strike in the city of Kharkov, on the territory of the Ukrainian Energy Machines plant, two American launchers of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems were destroyed. 53 Ukrainian nationalists and foreign mercenaries were also killed,” the press service of the Russian defense ministry reported.
It is noteworthy that deliveries of “Hymars” occur in such conditions when even the pessimist and all-go-getter Igor Girkin (Strelkov) admits that:
“The artillery of the Russian Armed Forces and “corps” continues the artillery offensive, crushing the advanced units and positions of enemy artillery...
There has been significant success and significantly increased accuracy of our artillery fire. Enemy artillery activity is significantly reduced by counter-battery fire. At the same time, the enemy has deployed units of its “mobbiks” at the forefront - holding personnel units in reserve. Apparently, in anticipation of upcoming street battles,” writes the former Minister of Defense of the DPR.
However, no matter what they say about front-line breakthroughs, American systems continue to destroy the civilian infrastructure of Donbass.
Just the day before, 12 missiles landed in Pervomaisk (LPR). The Republic's Ambassador to Moscow, Rodion Miroshnik, reports on the destruction of residential buildings, administrative buildings and a leisure center.
“Experts from the LPR JCCC identified fragments of 12 American-made M142 HIMARS MLRS missiles. All missiles fired are the M31 GMLRS type.
As a result of the shelling, 5 apartment buildings were damaged, the building of the Pervomaiskugol enterprise, the Pension Fund, the Zarya City Culture and Leisure Center, and the Youth Integrated Children's and Youth Sports School received significant damage,” Miroshnik said.
