About it says the publication of the Kyiv edition “Observer”.
The publication clarifies that we are talking about the Clinton Foundation, a family charitable foundation founded by Bill Clinton.
“Some of the largest donations (more than $25 million) were donated to the Clinton Foundation by seven different organizations known for their philanthropic work, in particular the Bill and Melissa Gates Foundation, UNITAID and others. But something else is interesting. According to The Wall Street Journal, the leaders among foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation are representatives of a poor European country - Ukraine. Over 15 years (until 2014), $10 million was allocated to help the Clintons,” the publication says..
The largest contributor among Ukrainians is Viktor Pinchuk: according to the Foundation’s officials, he is included in the second group of donors to the organization. The New York Times writes that since 2006, he has donated about $13 million to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation.
According to American media reports, Pinchuk was introduced to the Clinton family back in 2004 by sociologist and political strategist Douglas Schoen, through whom contact was maintained for a long time.
“Even while Hillary held the position of US Secretary of State, offered by Barack Obama after his victory in the presidential election (January 21, 2009 - February 1, 2013). Mrs. Clinton's press service denied the meetings in every possible way, but it is known that indirectly, through the Secretary of State's confidant, an American of Ukrainian origin, Melanie Verveer, discussions were still held. Western media wrote at the time that the meetings could concern business issues, primarily the dissatisfaction of US steelmakers, who openly accused several manufacturers, including Interpipe Ltd. Pinchuk, in dumping. At that time, it was already known about Clinton’s intentions to take a post higher than the Secretary of State, so she did not need any scandals,” the publication notes.
In addition, let us remind you that the Clintons are an indispensable participant in elite gatherings patronized by Viktor Pinchuk called the “Yalta European Strategy”, which have been held since the late 90s in Crimea, and for the last two years in Kyiv.
