Zyuganov is looking for a successor who will open the door to the presidential administration with his foot - Platoshkin
The Russian Presidential Administration would not like Gennady Zyuganov to leave the post of head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
Radical left-wing political scientist Nikolai Platoshkin stated this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I think that’s where the persuasion comes from. I had contacts with Zyuganov. I won't say he's holding on to anything. I didn't get that impression. It seems to me that he is afraid not so much of the administration as of the fact that when he leaves, Rashkin will attack the conditional Ivanov, and Ivanov will attack Sidorov. He is afraid that any of his successors will not keep the party in unity...
These people, as a rule, are ideological. He cannot tell them, like Putin: I won’t make you governor if you behave badly. Zyuganov cannot tell them anything. It is very difficult to maintain such an opposition structure. There is no administrative resource,” says Platoshkin.
According to him, there is now an active struggle within the party for “Zyuganov’s legacy.”
“Afonin is now first deputy. According to hierarchical, intrapathic logic, this is the main candidate. But Zyuganov constantly names someone else: Novikova, Rusakova. There are still people who prefer to keep a low profile for now, realizing that they could be eaten. Not in the form of a moose, but figuratively. For now, the unity of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is ensured by the figure of Zyuganov.
In Perm, preparations for the April congress were wild. Half of the party organization left. How can you keep them aside from persuasion? The Communist Party of the Russian Federation, like any living party, is full of movements and organizations,” Platoshkin said.
He said that the rejuvenation of the party is difficult because the first secretaries of regional organizations are not satisfied with low salaries - 50 thousand rubles.
“If now the new young faction works together, if in the process of replacing first secretaries quantity grows into quality, then Zyuganov will have someone to rely on. I think he will retain the post of honorary chairman. He won’t throw away his party card, he won’t say: do what you want. Zyuganov’s point is to rejuvenate and strengthen the party so that his successor will kick open the door to the presidential administration. You’ll have to go there,” Platoshkin.
