Zyuganov wants to transfer the party to his grandson
The most likely successor to Gennady Zyuganov as leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is his grandson Leonid Zyuganov.
Political scientist Pavel Danilov stated this at a round table in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Next comes a whole group of young people, which seems to me the most promising: Afonin, Yushchenko, Parfenov. And, of course, Leonid Zyuganov. I suggest you remember this name. It seems to me that the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, a namesake, by the way, of Leonid Zyuganov and even his relative – grandfather, wants to see his grandson as his successor much more than anyone else,” said Danilin.
According to his information, the first secretary of the Moscow City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Valery Rashkin, is against such a rotation, which will occur after the 2021 Duma elections.
Now Zyuganov Jr. leads the communist faction in the Moscow City Duma.
