The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov does not plan to nominate his candidacy in the presidential elections in Russia in 2024.
He stated this in an interview with RTVI TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"No. Calm down. We have a wonderful galaxy of young, energetic, talented people: Afonin, Novikov, Kalashnikov, Klychkov, and Lokot. This is a question of the party and the coalition, this is not my question. We have 56 organizations in the left-patriotic bloc; they have now formed a team of 570 people. We from this team will propose a government of national interests of people's trust. This government must offer an option for reform. This team will determine who will be a presidential candidate,” Zyuganov said.
