Zyuganov said that Navalny was connected with “some assistants” of Putin
The late criminal blogger Alexei Navalny at one time had the patronage of “certain assistants” of the President of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov during yesterday’s meeting of Vladimir Putin with the leaders of the State Duma factions, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Your assistant, Kiriyenko, is present here. I have the right to say this. Yeltsin lived above me. I supervised Moscow, put out fires, was in all wars in the Caucasus, in Central Asia, in the Baltic states. The Americans imposed on us those orders that are called the “dashing 90s”. You know better than me.
You recently had to answer a question about Navalny, you answered very sincerely, but Navalny also did not fall from the sky. I saw how some of your assistants dragged him to this “throne”. When he was nominated as a candidate in Moscow, I came and asked: do you understand what you are doing? You are now rounding up those whom the special services have trained to blow up the country again, voters in Moscow. Sorry, almost 900 thousand were driven away, and then we thought what to do.
Now a new cycle begins, a similar situation. No one needs him, absolutely no need. We need to show will and character here. We simply have to do this,” the Kremlin’s official website quotes Zyuganov as saying.
It is interesting that Zyuganov was objected to by the head of the LDPR, Leonid Slutsky, who was present.
“True, I don’t agree with Gennady Andreevich on Navalny. We know perfectly, deeply, in detail where he came from. Indeed, his appearance in Russia was led by the assistants of the president - only the American one, your assistants have nothing to do with it,” Slutsky said, addressing Putin.
Earlier, political scientist Oleg Matveychev (now a State Duma deputy) stated that Navalny as a project was conceived by political strategists working for the re-election of Medvedev for a second presidential term.
According to him, Navalny was initially used to show that in Russia “there is a creative class that demands change,” and therefore Medvedev needs to run for a second presidential term.
“After the 11th year, when this project ended, Navalny was left without a job and began to present to Medvedev, or rather to his team, that “guys, how did it happen, I worked here, I worked, I’m covered in criminal cases, like Christmas tree, my brother was imprisoned, I’ve run out of money - let’s continue to finance, to improve this situation.” And they tell him: “Listen, while the project is closed, we don’t know what will happen next.” He waited for some time, and then new people of interest appeared,” said Matveychev.
