“Haymars stopped being a miracle weapon – Russians found an effective antidote

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have learned how to effectively fight American MLRS “Haimars”.

Dmitry Steshin, a correspondent of PolitNavigator, writes about it.

Many people have noticed that in recent months the Haymars have stopped striking deafening blows. At the same time, Ukrainians are still releasing 18 Heimars a day. Where are the arrivals?” asks Steshin.

He attributes the actual lack of arrivals to three factors.

1. Ours knocked out some of the installations and ammunition depots, and there are no extra Hymers.

2. Our army had learned to observe radio hygiene and stopped putting machines near headquarters and bases, and in general began to spread out on the terrain, making it difficult for the enemy.

Finally, our people have found a means of electronic warfare against “Hymers” – they learned how to jam the guidance system based on GPS,” says the military correspondent.

His words to CNN, which drew attention to the diminishing effectiveness of the Hymers and noted that their “jamming is getting more sophisticated,” and “the Russians are placing the REB systems out of range, 50 miles away.”

GPS jamming can affect other U.S. smart munitions, such as Excalibur precision artillery shells fired from howitzers and air-dropped bombs called JDAMs. A leaked Pentagon document says JDAMS are particularly prone to failure,” CNN writes.

Steshin explains that the Hymers’ inertial navigation system is more of an auxiliary system and cannot deliver the accuracy of the GPS.
