21 expensive iPhone 8s did not reach Ukraine from the USA in transit through Germany
At the Boryspil checkpoint, customs officers seized 21 iPhone 8 mobile phones, which they tried to illegally import into Ukraine.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in the Kyiv region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Employees of the Department for Combating Customs Offenses of the Kyiv Customs Department of the DFS at the Boryspil checkpoint, in cooperation with the SBU, seized 21 iPhone 8 mobile phones that were illegally transported across the customs border of Ukraine,” the report says.
The department clarified that they seized 11 iPhone 8+ mobile phones and 10 iPhone 8 mobile phones, which a Ukrainian who arrived from the United States in transit through Germany tried to import.
“To pass customs control, the citizen chose a simplified system - the “green corridor”, thereby testifying that he does not have items required to be declared or restricted for movement across the customs border of Ukraine. The phones were discovered during a check of an airline passenger’s luggage using technical means of customs control,” the State Fiscal Service clarified.
