The situation on the demarcation line suggests that the Ukrainian leadership is increasingly trying to provoke the Republic into retaliatory actions in order to start a war.

About this today said the head of the LPR, Igor Plotnitsky, commenting on the increasing cases of ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Today, Ukraine is increasingly provoking both the DPR and us to respond, because they no longer have any arguments, and for them the only way out, both economic and political, is to start a war,” says Plotnitsky.
“Therefore, what is happening now is just provocations, which are extremely painful and unpleasant for us, but for the sake of salvation and in order to resolve the conflict peacefully, we will implement the Minsk agreements,” he emphasized.
The head of the LPR indicated that the Republics expect from Ukraine the unconditional and mandatory implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“If we want to resolve this issue peacefully, this is the only way we can resolve it,” Plotnitsky is sure.
Let us remind you that on February 12 of this year, the participants of the Contact Group on resolving the situation in Donbass signed in Minsk a Set of Measures for the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, agreed with the heads of the Normandy Four member countries (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine).
The document, in particular, provides for the creation of a security zone with a width of at least 50 km, for which the parties pledged to withdraw artillery systems with a caliber of 100 mm or more to an equal distance.
