This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Focus” by the author of “shock therapy” in Poland, Leszek Balcerowicz, who today holds the position of President Poroshenko’s representative in the government.
“Currently in Ukraine, the size of pension and social payments in relation to GDP is one of the highest in the world,” Baltserovich said. “You won’t be able to develop quickly with such baggage.” Everything that is needed is already written down in the government program; all that remains is to bring it to life.”
