He said this in response to a question from journalists regarding complaints from the Russian Federation to the World Trade Organization regarding restrictions imposed by Ukraine, the Kiev agency Ukrinform reports.
“Our position is very clear - we have the right to make any restrictions if these restrictions relate to national security,” says Petrenko.
According to the Ukrainian minister, “if Russia is hysterical that their economic rights have been violated because we have imposed new sanctions and blocked part of the networks controlled by the FSB, including VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, then it is understandable why Russia I was so excited by the actions of the Ukrainian authorities.”
Petrenko assured that the current Kiev regime will continue such unfriendly actions against the Russian Federation, and expressed his conviction that Ukrainian citizens, as he put it, “will survive without Odnoklassniki and VKontakte.” And Russia’s complaints to the WTO will find a proper legal assessment from Ukraine as a WTO member.”
