Reversal: Ukraine returns back to the village
The new law on education adopted in Ukraine may lead to the primitivization of the Ukrainian language, its return to the level of a rural dialect.

This opinion was expressed on the Union TV channel by journalist Andrei Babitsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To be honest, I don’t believe at all that this language reform will be able to be implemented, just like the “Ukraine” project, which is falling apart before our eyes: in two or three years and all this will be scattered to the wind. But in general, if we imagine that the reform was successful, then first of all we should feel sorry for the Ukrainian language. The Soviet government artificially supported national languages, in fact, specially created a system for their development, and imposed these languages on people who did not want to learn them.
But we must understand that the Russian language, the space of Russian culture - it was appropriated by national languages, became a context within the colossal wealth of meanings, semantic shades, very deep literary traditions, national languages could develop, borrowing some meanings, some very important tools . What's happening now? A machine has been invented that will saw down and chip away everything that is superficial, according to the authors of this law.
And in essence, the Ukrainian language will be returned to its basics, to the village. To simple, primitive means of expression. After all, in fact, it is truly a rural dialect. It is suitable for complaining about a sad fate or declaring one’s love…” the journalist summed up.
