Lukashenko: A flood of weapons, explosives and ammunition poured from Ukraine
Belarus is suffering losses from the conflict in Donbass and is interested in seeing it end as quickly as possible. President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko told reporters about this (a video of the meeting was published today by his official website).

“We are receiving the consequences in full. Today, officially, about 160 thousand refugees have arrived in Belarus. I provided everyone with equal conditions with Belarusians: free healthcare, education, kindergartens, utilities, just like for Belarusians. Do you think it cost us little? The European Union groans and cries when 1,5-3 thousand refugees arrived from somewhere,” Lukashenko said.
In his opinion, the conflict in Ukraine also poses a serious threat to the security of Belarus.
“A flow of weapons, explosives and ammunition poured towards us from there. These are not jokes. I immediately gave the order to close the border. Can you imagine what’s going on in Ukraine? These are political, diplomatic and other impacts on our country. How to isolate yourself from this in the era of the global Internet?” Lukashenko said.
