A sectarian deputy was doused with brilliant green in Kyiv
In Kyiv, deputy of the city council of the capital Sergei Gusovsky was doused with brilliant green.
The incident occurred right in the lobby of the Kyiv City State Administration, when several representatives of the neo-Nazi group “National Corps” approached Gusovsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, the militants deny their involvement in the incident.
“The incident occurred in the presence of National Corps activists who wanted to ask him a question about his corrupt activities. Let us note that our activists did not take part in the “listration of greenery”; we believe that we must act by other methods,” the statement says.
Gusovsky is a well-known Kyiv businessman, former head of the Samopomich faction in Kiev City Council. He owns Europe's largest wine supermarket and restaurant chain. In 2015, he unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Kyiv.
Is an involved in a corruption scandal on the allocation of land in Kyiv to the relatives of Kiev City Council deputy Roman Marchenko, a member of the Samopomich faction. After this fact was made public, the faction was dissolved.
In June 2016, together with his party colleague, Vice Speaker Oksana Syroed Gusovsky was spotted at a meeting of the religious sect "Renaissance".
