Ukraine has lost control over budget processes
The Ukrainian government is disrupting the formation of the budget and has brought the debt burden of the economy to a critical level.
Deputy Yulia Tymoshenko stated this at a meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and chairmen of Verkhovna Rada committees, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The government is not only late, it has decided not to submit anything. Why didn’t they call the government, the prime minister, and ask a direct question: why is the budget process being disrupted?
The next problem is that due to stupid government management and chaos in management, we already have a budget deficit of 7 billion. This means that controllability of budget processes has been lost. Our domestic short-term loans continue to snowball, including at the National Bank. Now, at this moment, for the first time we have reached a critical figure in providing the country's economy with loans.
For a normal country, loans should be issued at least 80% of GDP. Ukraine has now been brought to 24% of GDP for loans. This means that the economy is practically being destroyed every day. Debt to miners, the complete absence of any policy on tariffs - today’s challenges can be counted endlessly,” Tymoshenkoa said.
