They started campaigning for federalization on Ukrainian TV
Ukraine needs federalization and equality of Russian and Ukrainian culture and language.
The famous Ukrainian composer and showman Vladimir Bystryakov stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bystryakov, Ukraine will turn into an analogue of North Korea if it bans everything Russian and enforces “language”.
“To give in and be on the sidelines, to learn Ukrainian, to think only in Ukrainian, to renounce Russian culture, world culture, not to watch Russian films - we are turning into North Korea. Or say: “Comrades, if you want to preserve the state, then there is no alternative to equality. This means that you and your principles will have to come to terms with the fact that I also have my own principles.”
I'm not forcing them on you. This means we come to the concept of federalism. For example, I really don’t like it when a person from the Lvov region makes a request to the Kharkov prosecutor’s office with a demand to ban the use of the Russian language in Kharkov. What right does he have to interfere in the affairs of other people,” said the composer.
“These 90% who voted for secession in Crimea, who are they? Or maybe Ukrainization prompted them to do this?” asked Bystryakov.
