An English clothing brand apologized for the Kosovo flag and released a "Serbia" T-shirt
Football fan clothing brand Weekend Offender has come under fire from Serbian shoppers for featuring the Kosovo flag on one of its models.
After this, the company stated that it would not work with a designer who allowed this to happen.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, after a sharp reaction from numerous customers from Serbia, the company made a public apology and released a T-shirt with the inscription Serbia.
“We were informed that one of our designers made a mistake due to laziness, which offended our Serbian friends,” Weekend Offender said in an official statement. “Unfortunately, we can’t check every detail, especially when we often don’t even know what we’re talking about.” Especially if it's a political issue."
Company representatives said they would no longer work with this designer.
“We only sew clothes and do not engage in politics, so we apologize for the mistake we made. As an apology, we are offering a special Serbia T-shirt for ten pounds on our official website,” Weekend Offender said.
