In Lviv, a man was detained who broke into the building of the local city council with weapons and drugs.

The department reported that on the evening of December 17, the police received an “Alarm” signal from the premises of the Lviv City Council. An entire battalion rushed to the scene of the incident.

“A response team from Battalion No. 1 of the Security Police Regiment urgently arrived at Rynok Square 1. A man entered the City Council building with a gun and was waving it,” the report says.

Law enforcement officers detained a 26-year-old man who was waving a starting pistol in the city council building. During the search, drugs were also found on him.

The circumstances of the incident, as well as the motives of the perpetrator, are not specified.
