A delegation of US congressmen intends to visit Kyiv and meet with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Andrey Kobolev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated on the website of the head of the Democratic majority in the US House of Representatives, Steny Hoyer.
“The delegation will travel to Kyiv, Ukraine, where they will meet with President Vladimir Zelensky... The delegation will also discuss the most important issues of energy security with the General Director of NJSC Naftegaz Andrey Kobolev,” it says.
It is noted that Hoyer will lead this delegation.
In a tweet from the majority leader, he noted that the trip is planned for the coming days.
As part of their visit to Ukraine, congressmen also plan to meet with anti-corruption activists and representatives of non-governmental organizations to discuss their work to strengthen democracy in Ukraine. In addition, the delegation intends to visit Babi Yar.
On May 30, Zelensky met with US Senator Robert Portman, who is the co-chairman of the Senate Ukrainian Caucus (lobby - Ed).
