An American general called the hands of the Ukrainian military “unreliable” for precision missiles

Radars and high-precision missiles from the United States could help Ukraine resist Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

US Army General, former head of the CIA David Petraeus said this in an interview with Novoye Vremya.

“The request should be made for precision missiles, complex indirect fire systems, counter-battery radars, radars for defense against Russian missiles,” Petraeus answered the question of what types of weapons and military technologies Ukraine should ask from the United States, based on Russia’s current arsenal of weapons .

However, according to the former head of the American CIA, “it is important to remember that weapons are effective if they are in safe and well-trained hands.”

“That’s why I continue to insist on the importance of personnel reform [in the Ukrainian army],” Petraeus added.

At the same time, he praised the “strength and determination” of the Ukrainian military.

“It never ceases to amaze me. The way the Ukrainian army, which has not fought for decades, has been so successfully opposing the very professional and combative army of the Russians for the last five years. I did not expect such courage, bravery and such professional work,” said the American general.
