Analyst: The offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is running out of steam, but we should expect new attempts

Ukrainian reserves involved in offensive operations in the south are seriously depleted.

Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The Ukrainian counter-offensive across the Dnieper has clearly run out of steam. Due to the losses in equipment and aviation suffered over the week, the reserves brought into the battle are seriously depleted and require serious regrouping. But it is unlikely that the Kiev regime will so easily abandon the loudly promoted operation, which was supposed to be a report for the allies on the funds spent on rearmament and training.

It can be expected that after a short pause they will again try to strike in the same direction with new reinforcements. They dream of achieving at least some success before the onset of the autumn thaw, so it’s too early to relax,” Shurygin told Izvestia.

According to him, the failure of attempts to land a boat on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, demonstrated “the madness of such adventures.”

“The renewed attacks on the station may now be an element of revenge on the part of the Ukrainian formations. They will try to inflict damage on the Russian Guard soldiers guarding the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, who thwarted their plans and caused heavy losses,” the analyst added.
