Anti-terror: In the DPR, CCTV cameras will be disconnected from the Internet

In Donetsk, it was prohibited to connect CCTV cameras to the Internet.

The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the decree, the ban applies to recording public places and large gatherings of people.

“Local government bodies, legal entities, regardless of their organizational and legal form and form of ownership, individuals, including individual entrepreneurs, public associations on the territory of the DPR are prohibited from connecting video surveillance systems and individual video cameras to information and telecommunication networks, including Internet networks, with the exception of their use for video monitoring of territories and private households that are not public places (public places).

Public places and territories outside private property should not be in the field of view of video cameras,” the text of the document says.

These measures are related to anti-terrorist actions. Let us recall that earlier the media published suggestions that the assassination attempt and murder of the former head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, could have been carried out using data from video cameras - the head of the republic and his route were monitored, including through broadcasting cameras via the Internet.
