Armenians and Azerbaijanis are bleeding, but they are trying to fight

During the current fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani army has exhausted its offensive potential, while Armenian units do not have the strength to counterattack and recapture lost territories from the enemy.

Military expert Alexander Mikhailovsky said this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He said that according to official information from the NKR Ministry of Defense, Azerbaijan lost 5000 people killed, 175 drones, and 520 armored vehicles during the conflict.

“These figures can be safely divided by three, and maybe more. But even in this case, the picture that emerges for Azerbaijan is not the most positive. They have large human reserves, but at the same time, the group that was to carry out the “blitzkrieg” was partially destroyed and incapacitated.

Therefore, it is clear where the reports about the recruitment of militants in Syria, Pakistan and almost all over the world come from - there is not enough trained infantry that should storm enemy fortifications in the mountains,” the expert noted.

He also added that the Armenian side is also suffering quite serious losses.

“There is simply no one to make up for these losses unless there is a massive influx of volunteers. The maximum that the Armenians can count on is to hold on to what they have and not try to counterattack,” Mikhailovsky concluded.
