Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations may take place in Moscow

Consultations are currently underway regarding negotiations in Moscow between Armenia, Azerbaijan and the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.

Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Russian President Putin discussed the current situation with the Prime Minister of Armenia on October 2, 5 and 7, and the same topic was raised during a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan on October 7. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov remains in constant contact with his Azerbaijani and Armenian colleagues.

Various action plans are being developed. Among other things, we proposed to provide a Moscow platform for organizing a meeting of the heads of foreign affairs agencies of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan with the participation of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. We are holding consultations with the parties regarding possible dates for the start of negotiations in this format. We will inform you about all the steps that are being taken in this direction,” Zakharova said.
