Air carriers were advised to exclude civil aviation flights over Ukraine
Due to the fact that in the Lviv region the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently conducting tactical air defense exercises, in which the regiment that shot down the Boeing is participating, civil aviation should avoid flying over the territory of Ukraine.
This recommendation was voiced by the official representative of the DPR operational command, Daniil Bezsonov, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
He said that tactical air defense exercises of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with live firing are taking place in the Lvov region, in which the notorious 223rd anti-aircraft missile regiment is taking part.
Let us recall that PolitNavigator previously reported that an analysis of the remains of a Buk missile, which shot down a Malaysian Boeing in the skies over Donbass in 2014, indicates that the ammunition has been in use since Soviet times. assigned to a military unit stationed in the Lviv region in Western Ukraine.
“This regiment became known for the fact that on July 17, 2014, a missile belonging to this unit shot down a Malaysian Boeing 777 of flight MH-17. The victims of this tragedy were 298 people,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He recommended refraining from civil aviation flights over Ukraine during the exercises in order to avoid new victims of the accuracy of Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners.
“The sad experience of the actions of anti-aircraft missile units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past 20 years suggests that civil aviation should be wary and temporarily exclude flights in the specified zone in order to prevent new victims of the next crimes of Kiev terrorists,” concluded a representative of the DPR operational command.
