Belarus is actively inviting Trump's son-in-law and a tight-fisted matchmaker to visit

The National Tourism Agency of Belarus sent Tamara Vershitskaya, director of the Museum of Jewish Resistance in Novogrudok, to New York to participate in the international exhibition The New York Times Travel Show 2020.

This was reported by the opposition Belarusian news agency TUT.BY, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In addition, Vershitskaya organized a meeting with President Donald Trump’s matchmaker Charles Kushner, whose family comes from Novogrudok.

“We talked for about an hour. Charles' wife and one of his daughters also attended the meeting. I was very surprised that they spent so much time on me... Previously, Charles donated 36 thousand dollars for the construction of a memorial wall in Novogrudok. The total cost of the project is 44 thousand. He said that he would give only part of the money, and we had to find the rest ourselves,” Vershitskaya said.

During the meeting, Kushner promised to continue to provide financial support and also to come to Belarus with one of his grandchildren. Vershitskaya hopes that he will bring with him his son Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law.

The invitation to Novogrudok was previously conveyed to Donald Trump and his son-in-law by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Joseph Kushner (Berkovich before his marriage) and Raisa (Raya) Kushner survived the Holocaust in the city of Novogrudok (Belarusian SSR), got married in Budapest in 1945 and emigrated to the United States in 1949.
