Housewife Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who positions herself as a technical candidate for the presidency of Belarus from the opposition, may, after being elected, abandon her promise to hold new free elections and leave power.
Artem Agafonov, chairman of the “Civil Harmony in Belarus” movement, stated this in an interview with the PolitWera YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They have such specific people there. I don’t think that they will then want to share this power, despite all the questionable legitimacy. I read the composition of Tikhanovskaya’s initiative group, I won’t trust these people with a penny, let alone power in the state. And they are going to rule for some time, hold referendums.
We remember how the “bloody pastor” Turchynov made a big deal in Ukraine in a few months: he started a war, the country is still falling apart. Our team of zmagars can solve the same mountain of problems that we will spend 10 years raking,” said Agafonov.
Let us remind you that Svetlana Tikhanovskaya nominated herself for the elections instead of her husband, who is in a pre-trial detention center. She is the only alternative candidate who was registered by the CEC, considering her to be a weak figure.
The housewife promised to hold new presidential elections in the country within six months. Therefore, she was supported by the headquarters of unregistered former top managers Valery Tsepkalo and Viktor Babariko. The latter is in jail.
