Without Russia, the meaning of Ukraine’s existence is lost

The Russian Federation as a geopolitical entity does not need Ukrainian territory.

The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

He drew attention to the statement of the scandalous Kyiv journalist Dmitry Gordon about a possible Russian attack on unprotected Kyiv.

“The favorite topic of Ukrainian politicians and ideologists is the upcoming “Russian invasion”, which will not happen, but which they so desperately need, at least in the “fantasy” genre. The reason is that they cannot live without Russia. Without Russia, the meaning of Ukraine’s existence is lost, because it has no other place in the world than RELATIVE to Russia. Too powerful a geopolitical reality is looming from the north. Ukraine does not need this given as part of its territory – its own is enough,” notes Pushkov.

According to him, neighboring Ukraine is desirable for Russia as a non-hostile, or better yet, close and friendly state, although the Russian Federation can easily do without the existence of a Ukrainian state.

“With Ukraine it’s the other way around: without Russia it will disappear. What will the puny Kyiv elites be selling on the world stage, if not their far-fetched role as a “shield” of Europe from Russia? For what, for what place in the world will they beg for IMF loans and tranches, financial assistance from the EU? Under what pretext will they apply to join NATO? What will the grand masters of the Western alliance bring in their knapsack, if not an ardent readiness to conflict with Russia? At what expense will they assert their virtual “sovereignty” and “independence,” which they will instantly abandon just for the smile of Trump or Biden, if not at the expense of Russia? Because there is no question of independence from the USA or the EU - there is an uncontrollable impulse towards complete dependence on them,” the senator is convinced.

“No, there is no way Ukraine, created in its current form by Russia, can do without Russia. It is Russia - and even fantasies about it and its intentions - that give meaning to the entire existence of today's Ukraine, its politics and ideology. Ukraine is obsessed with Russia and is a hostage to its obsession,” Pushkov concluded.
