My people are a bargaining chip in the hands of Poroshenko

Ukraine has submitted to the UN an updated draft resolution on human rights in Crimea. I don’t know whether to admire the representatives of the Ukrainian government or be afraid. Maybe despise? Conflicting feelings.

On the one hand, protection of the “oppressed” Crimean Tatars at the international level. On the other hand, genocide against one’s own people.

It would seem that I, a Crimean Tatar, should at least be pleased that they are fighting for the rights of my fellow tribesmen, passing resolutions, demanding an end to “repression” against them, but I experience completely different feelings. Disgust. Yes, these are the emotions that evoke in me hypocrisy and cynicism, covered by loud slogans about the fight for justice.

Although we must pay tribute to the Ukrainian agitprop. Kyiv propagandists are gods of political PR. It is necessary to be able to skillfully keep silent about the catastrophic situation in a country where anyone with three extra hryvnia can organize a Maidan. It’s especially funny when Kyiv is concerned about the “suffering” of the Crimean Tatar people, whose existence was not even remembered before the events of 2014.

I don’t like that my people have become bargaining chips in Poroshenko’s hands. Let the Ukrainian president think better about Donbass: about the tens of thousands killed on both sides.

You can still pass a resolution about millions of Ukrainians who are being dictated how to live, although the question is already “for what”.

It is possible that in the near future the President of Ukraine will need to think about how to save his life. After all, having established a trend towards armed coups, there is a risk of becoming its victim.
