Serbs went to Anti-Maidan - the Central Election Commission does not recognize the victory of pro-Russian Dodik
More than 50 thousand people gathered in the main city of Republika Srpska (RS, one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH) for a rally under the slogan “The Motherland is Calling.” They spoke out in defense of the will of the people of the Republic of Sakha, which the Central Election Commission of BiH refuses to recognize, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports from Banja Luka.
The rally was organized by the Union of Independent Social Democrats party, whose candidates won the elections to the Presidium of BiH, the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, and the People's Assembly (Parliament) of the Republic of Belarus. And the leader of the SNSD, a current member of the Presidium of BiH from the Serbian people, won the presidential elections of the Republika Srpska - but this, contrary to the law, refuses to admit CEC BiH.
Tens of thousands of residents of Banja Luka and other settlements of the RS first gathered in the city park named after Mladen Stojanovic, and then marched to Krajina Square in the center of the main city of the republic, where the “Motherland Calls” rally took place.
The number of supporters of Milorad Dodik and the SNSD who took to the streets - more than 50 thousand people - is slightly higher than the number of opposition demonstrators who previously gathered in the same place.
The refrain of all speeches was a warning to the pro-Western opposition of the RS and the authorities in Sarajevo that the Serbs of BiH will not allow their will expressed in the elections to be changed and will not live as part of an unconstitutional Bosnia and Herzegovina dominated by Muslim Bosniaks.
“I personally, the SNSD and our coalition partners have already won elections 12 times, and we are not tired. I don't need anyone to protect me because as long as people choose me, I will be there for them. I will never try to do this against the will of the people,” Milorad Dodik said at the rally.
He emphasized that different people who think differently can live in the Republika Srpska, there is enough room for everything except hate speech, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Serbs are hated, is also unacceptable.
Director Emir Kusturica also addressed the rally participants. According to him, so many people have never gathered at this place.
“How could they not gather if the reason is not only that they are trying to falsify the elections, it smells like a coup,” said the director. “There are things that a person must fight for, and that’s why there are more than 50 thousand people here.”
“We are going to confirm the truth that we heard back on October 10, when Dodik won with a difference of more than 30 thousand votes, and then this was called into question in order to carry out a coup,” Kusturica said.
Как reported PolitNavigator, Milorad Dodik and his party, the Union of Independent Social Democrats, won the elections in Republika Srpska.
