An entire region of Ukraine can join Belarus, - SBU general
Ukraine may lose several of its regions bordering other states that actively issue passports in adjacent territories. Moreover, the threat concerns not only Transcarpathia or Bukovina, but also the Chernihiv region, where the percentage of holders of Belarusian documents is already high.
The former head of the SBU Investigation Department Vasily Vovk stated this on the air of Emigrant Radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the security official, in the Transcarpathian region, every second resident already has a Hungarian or even a Czech passport.
“Almost every second person there has either a Czech or a Hungarian passport, or two – a Czech one, mind you, I didn’t expect it, but then, when I delved into history, I realized that this territory was the territory of the Czech Republic for a large amount of time...
The Transcarpathian region received everything, and there are reasons to receive it - the Hungarians are building playgrounds, schools, providing the opportunity to build roads, giving money, in the end - they treat Transcarpathia as a cousin’s child, I don’t say “native”, because it is dangerous ...
But imagine, Transcarpathia, the region with its administrative territory, receives all Hungarian passports. Why not get it? This gives great benefits. Cross-border communication and the like. And at one point, hypothetically, they all renounce Ukrainian citizenship. And Hungary says: “Dear friends, let’s come here. And what you have left there, the land is yours - we will buy it back. Moreover, you passed the law.” And she was bought by the same Hungarians, only those who had Ukrainian passports. Where does Ukraine remain? There is no Ukraine, dear friends. Can you imagine?” said Vovk.
A similar situation, according to his information, is in other border territories - in Bukovina, Chernihiv region and Donbass:
“Let's talk about Bukovina. A similar situation with some of its own nuances. Let's talk about other regions - no one ever touches the Chernihiv region. And I spoke with my former colleague, a classmate during my studies, who has lived there all his life and was born. He says: “We have a trilateral region – Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. There are a lot of people there, even with Belarusian passports”... Yes, in the end, “Batka” will say: “Listen, friends, there are three districts in Chernigov where there are no Ukrainians - only Belarusians. Let me take it from you. And the land, the land was bought by these Belarusians who had Ukrainian passports.” Do you understand what we're talking about? And, in the end, who is in Donbass now? At a meeting of the Tripartite Group we say: “Here, Deinego has come, he has a Russian passport,” Vovk laments.
