Chechen terrorists entered into an agreement with Ukraine
Chechen separatists entered into an agreement with Ukraine so that their mercenaries would not be persecuted in Europe for participating in hostilities.
One of the terrorist leaders, who calls himself the head of the so-called “government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in exile,” Akhmed Zakayev, who received political asylum in Britain, stated this on the air of the “Direct” TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Zakayev, the decision on the participation of Chechen fighters on the side of Ukraine was made in Brussels, where NATO headquarters is located.
“On February 24, after Russia’s attack on Ukraine, after a full-scale aggression, our government, that is, the state committee for the de-occupation of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria abroad, we held a meeting in Brussels and it was decided that we are starting to form a unit to send them to Ukraine for to support repelling Russian aggression and to support Ukrainians.
From that time on, we began work directly to implement this resolution. And from the first day, volunteers and people appeared here, mostly those who were in European countries,” the terrorist said.
“But it was very important for us that this process was not illegal; we needed to conclude at least some kind of agreement with the leadership or representatives of the leadership of Ukraine. And we did this so that our fighters would not be subsequently persecuted as mercenaries around the world when the war ends,” Zakayev said.
