Franchetti is known for the fact that under his leadership, activists of the “North Wind” movement found at least 900 kilograms of explosives intended to undermine the energy infrastructure of the Crimean Peninsula. His group also guarded gas pipelines and power lines and prevented extremists from entering the territory of Sevastopol.
