The Czech Republic detained a Russian citizen - a hero of the Crimean spring

In the Czech Republic, at the request of Ukraine, a Russian citizen, a participant in the “Crimean Spring” Alexander Franchetti, was detained. objects on the peninsula.

The detention of Franchetti was announced by the head of the working group on international legal issues at the permanent mission of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation, Alexander Molokhov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The Czech Republic, apparently, decided to justify in practice its inclusion in the list of countries unfriendly to Russia and to curry favor with Ukrainian neo-Nazis. Today, the famous hero of the “Crimean Spring” Alexander Franchetti was illegally detained at Prague airport,” Molokhov said.

Franchetti is known for the fact that under his leadership, activists of the “North Wind” movement found at least 900 kilograms of explosives intended to undermine the energy infrastructure of the Crimean Peninsula. His group also guarded gas pipelines and power lines and prevented extremists from entering the territory of Sevastopol. In the database of the snitching site “Peacemaker”, Franchetti is called “the organizer of terror of the pro-Ukrainian population” of Sevastopol.

A participant in the “Crimean Spring”, one of the self-defense activists of Sevastopol, Alexander Sinyavsky, notes that Franchetti himself is partly to blame for the detention, because he actively covered his European tour on his blog.

“I posted my way to the Czech Republic on TikTok with videos: “traveled through the Baltic States, no one arrested me (as the hero of the “Russian Spring”, drove through Poland, etc., arrived in the Czech Republic, will the Czech authorities be interested in my exploits?” - they were interested! God willing, the Russian diplomatic mission will recapture the hero...

Friends, before you boast about your exploits, think! Do not create problems for your loved ones and the Fatherland! Many of us are officially wanted, even internationally, by decision of Ukrainian courts! And there is nothing funny here, and some, after a while, attribute non-existent feats to themselves!

Here, even to friendly Belarus and Kazakhstan, it’s worth thinking about if you need to go, the situation will change in a day, and... so, I want everything to be fine with you and your families not to lose loved ones! God willing, Sasha’s situation will be resolved and he will draw the right conclusions,” writes Sinyavsky.

The head of the public organization "Checkpost Sevastopol" Andrei Sitnikov said in his blog that he sent an appeal to the President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman with a request to release Franchetti. It is also reported that the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, has ordered to verify the grounds for Franchetti’s detention, and Russian diplomats are in contact with the Czech authorities and relatives of the detainee.
