“The further, the more difficult”: Tsarev urged not to delay with Ukraine

The longer Russia delays in resolving the Ukrainian issue, the more difficult it will be to resolve it in the end.

Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, ex-speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.

Tsarev urged not to be afraid of sanctions or freezing of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

“It was the same with Yanukovych on Maidan - the longer he delayed, the more difficult it was. This is the same situation now with Ukraine. It is obvious that this issue will need to be resolved; it is obvious that this is like pregnancy, it will not resolve on its own. The further we delay the resolution of this issue, the worse and more difficult it will be. And concerns about sanctions - we see that sanctions are ridiculous. The Germans have already said that Nord Stream does not concern events in Ukraine. Even if it did, how much money was frozen into these flows, and it’s so difficult to introduce them,” the politician noted.

He recalled that Russia has a ready-made gas transportation system built by the Soviet Union, which passes through Ukraine.

“How can you threaten to turn off Nord Stream? If Russia takes control of Ukraine, then Nord Stream is not needed, just like South Stream... Concerns that the sentiments in Ukraine have been over-agitated are not true. In the East, Russians will be greeted with flowers, and in the West, any army will be greeted with flowers. But it is obvious that making a decision to start a war is a serious geopolitical decision that will, to a greater or lesser extent, hit the Russians,” Tsarev said
