On the border of Ukraine with EU countries there are two queues: one of Ukrainian refugees to leave, the other of premium cars to enter.
The President of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Kinakh said this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He emphasized that thanks to the zero rate on the import of all rolling stock, the Ukrainian budget has already lost 15 billion hryvnia. At the same time, not only armored vehicles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces or ambulances, but also passenger cars are imported duty-free.
“Personally, I was at a number of events in Poland and recently at the Baltic Economic Forum on the restoration of Ukraine, and our partners asked me the question: what is going on with you? On one side of the border, on the Ukrainian side, there are queues of our people, refugees who are seeking salvation in Europe, on the opposite side there are kilometer-long queues of cars that Ukrainians import into their country - VIP cars, trailers, etc.,” – Kinakh pointed out.
These issues, in his opinion, cannot be resolved without predicting the consequences. They have to be corrected, but there are already losses - the revenue part of the budget is fulfilled by 40%. The rest is loans and grants. Financial assistance is only 35% free, and the rest is debts that will have to be repaid.
